Hello Kitty skirt

Harper spent the weekend at my parents house and when she came home she was wearing a Hello Kitty skirt over her pants.

She loves to dress up and usually she will take her dress up stuff off when it's time to get dressed and go in public. Oh...not this time, she wore her skirt until she took a bath and put it back on as soon as she got up this morning. Luckily we didn't have to go anywhere today, besides taking/picking up Hunter from school.

She loves this skirt and it makes me laugh that she is starting to have her own opinion about clothes. I know one day ill miss this frilly skirt when she is grown,so ill try not to complain and enjoy this time with her. She is such a sweet and funny girl!

Thankful

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with our families. Wednesday we celebrated with Mikes family and Thursday with mine.

I have so much to be thankful for this year!

So much that if I listed it all I'm sure I would forget something.

Our days were filled with fun, laughter, and good food. Hunter even lost another tooth in the midst of it all!

I love this time of year and I'm so thankful for the ones I get to spend it with.

Most of all I'm thankful for my
Savior! Without him none of this would be possible!

I wanted to share a couple of our family photos we had taken recently. I love them and will cherish these forever!

So What Wednesday

Today I thought I would link of with Shannon over at Life After I Dew for So What Wednesday.

This is my first time linking up.

SO WHAT IF...

- I have only packed 12 boxes and we are supposed to move in a few weeks.

- I have only worn makeup twice in the past week, I haven't really been anywhere important.

- I don't like any pumpkin flavor in my coffee...Im more of a sweet cream or french vanilla girl.

- I don't make my three year old sleep in her own bed...its nice to get sleep and not have to worry about her waking up.

- I hit the snooze button two times most mornings.

- I wait until my car says 0 miles to empty to get gas, I like taking the risk, lol

so thats my list! What are you saying SO WHAT to this week?

Project Pinterest

Iam linking up again with AP for Project Pinterest. She hosts a link up on Mondays and if you are like me you have over 1,000 pins but haven't made that much effort to put those to use. For me I use a lot of the recipes. The crafts are good too but with two kids and a husband that works a lot, there just isn't time to do every project you see. So today I will post what we had for dinner.

I don't know what the exact name is but I call it "crock pot chicken and stuffing or dressing"

what you will need:
1 cup of chicken broth
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1 box of stuffing
1 pack of chicken breasts
1/2 cup of water

put chicken breasts in the crock pot and pour your broth over them then combine your soup, stuffing, and water in a bowl, pour over the chicken and cook on low for 6hrs.

Weekend fun

We had a fun weekend, Friday Harper and I went to my parents house and spent the day with my mom. Of course she had to play a little dress up.

Saturday we just hung out at home and the kids ride their bikes for a little while. Later that evening Daddy was babysitter while I went to the Miranda Lambert concert.

I have liked Miranda since the first time I heard her years ago. She put on a great show and we all had a good time!

Today it was cool outside and we took the kids out to ride their bikes. It was such a nice day and we really enjoyed the weather and Chili for supper.

I don't have any photos of Hunter on his bike(he is too fast) but Harper has really taken off on her bike and its hard for me to keep up with her.

Welcome Fall

Today's weather was great and it felt like Fall, too bad I have been sick with an ear infection to enjoy it, but I hope Iam on the mend and we will be playing outside soon! I love to sit outside when the weather is nice and watch my kids ride their bikes and just have a good time.

My parents have their camper at the local state park for the month of October. This has become a tradition for us and on the Saturday before Halloween they will have a huge trick or treat and everyone goes from camper to camper collecting candy.

These are just some of the reasons I love Fall!

Oh and a batch of pumpkin muffins makes it even better!

God's Plan

We all like to plan things, and usually we want those things to go OUR way, I know I do it a lot. Then BOOM you are hit with a change of plans and it can seem like everything is falling apart, when really God is trying to show you HIS plan. We as Christians fail on a daily basis to remember that its not OUR plan and GOD'S plan that really matters.

We have been in the process of buying a house since the first of August. I will give a little background of what we have went through. First we found a cute new house that we really loved only to find out that the realtor showed us the house with not only one contract already on the house, but a backup contract also...mad was not the answer to how we felt...we were so upset. This is our first time buying so we didn't know much about the process so we just took that as a learning experience and that it wasn't the house God wanted for us. Fast forward a couple of weeks and we found another house that we really liked, we put a contract on it,got all of our loan stuff done and we were set to close today 9-27-12. Well...that didn't happen, we did a final walk-through on Monday and everything in the main living area checked out fine(keep in mind this is a new house built last year) then we go to the basement and there is mold on the sheet rock and the block looks to be holding moisture..RED FLAG! We got some advice on what to do and long story short it was a BIG problem and we had to back out of our contract. This is where God's plan came into place. We were upset, frustrated and confused. That afternoon I decided to ride through a neighborhood that we had looked in before we found the other house, there were two houses for sale right across from each other, I called the # on the sign of one and the agent told me the house was for sale and was never owned just leased for a while. Fast forward a little...we look at the house and decide we love it more than the one we just cancelled our contract on, it has more of what we want and a homey feel to it. We loved the neighborhood and everything about the house. We now have a contract on it and are waiting on a closing date. I can not tell you how much this has shown me that THIS was God's plan! He knows what is best for us and I praise him for guiding us in this situation.

We are trusting and praying that this is the house for us and hope to move soon. Third times a charm..right? lol

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Pinterest inspired cupcakes

Today Iam linking up with AP for her weekly pinterest project link up.

My son just turned 7 and he wanted a baseball party, I didn't really want the typical grocery store bakery cake nor did I want to pay $100 for a fancy cake. So I turned to pinterest and gathered my ideas and here is what  I came up with.

I used store bought cake mix and I made homemade buttercream icing. The toppers came from Party City.

Buttercream Icing

1/2 cup of vegetable shortning
1/2 cup of softened butter
1tsp of vanilla
4c of powerderd sugar

mix shortning and butter with your blender then add vanilla, slowly add your sugar one cup at a time until mixed well.

We had a great summer full of trips to the river, waterpark, and the beach. We celebrated some birthdays and my little sister got married! We enjoyed having no schedule and just had fun!

Fun times

We have had a busy couple of weeks. Hunter's ball team played in a tournament and they made it all the way to the last game and WON the championship! We also had two birthday parties,a trip to the water park and family time at the river. We had a blast doing it all! Ball is over and I'm ready to start our summer, we are ready to be at the beach next month also! I love the memories being made with my family!
