What we have been up to

We have been enjoying the rest of the summer we have left, Harper is over her illness and Hunter has been spending lots of time with his paw paw Wayne working around the farm. We took all five grandkids to Alabama Adventure one afternoon and they had a blast, hopefully we can go back before school starts.

Harper had her VCUG done and her kidneys looked fine. Praise God!

The house addition is coming along quickly and we can't wait to have all of the extra room, we have been blessed to be able to do this project. My husband is awesome and has been working six days a week plus coming home and working on the house.

Hunter is staying at mom and dads house tonight,it's his weekend thing.

Here are some pictures of the kids swimming at mom and dad's house one day about a week ago.

The Fourth of July 2011

We didn't do much this 4th of July, HG had just been discharged from the hospital on Saturday and I didn't feel it was a good idea to take her to the river in the heat. Hunter spent the weekend/ some of the week with my parents at the river, so Mike,Harper, and I just stayed home and enjoyed some good food at the in laws and watched a local firework show. We also celebrated our nephew Braden's 6th birthday.

Haley enjoyed being lazy

Hospital stay part 2

Harper was discharged from the hospital on Saturday morning. They determined she has a bad UTI with E-coli in her UT, she is being treated with antibiotics at home and we will follow up with her pediatrician next week to schedule a VCUG, which is a kidney test. She is feeling much better and we hope this doesn't happen again. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers.

Harpers hospital trip

On Monday Harper started to run a fever so I treated her with motrin and Tuesday I took her to the dr, they said it was viral and just to watch her. Tuesday night she didn't sleep well and her fever was around 103, I treated her with Tylenol and Motrin hoping she would feel better by morning. Thursday morning she had a slight temp but felt much better after I gave her some Tylenol, we went to Lowe's to get some paint for the house and while we were there she started to get chills and turned a little blue(she had done this twice on Tuesday) I got her in the car and called her dr. During the time I was waiting on the nurse to return my call she became very lethargic and continued to turn blue, the nurse called and said for me to take her to the ER. It took us about 30 min to get there but once we got her out of the car she became more responsive, her temp was 103.2 and her heart rate was over 200. They did a chest X-ray, blood work, EKG, spinal tap and gave her fluids and antibiotics. On Thursday they determined he had a UTI, but still decided to do more blood cultures to determine the reason for her turning blue. She still continues to run a fever, but is feeling much better..we hope to fond out more tomorrow.
