We all like to plan things, and usually we want those things to go OUR way, I know I do it a lot. Then BOOM you are hit with a change of plans and it can seem like everything is falling apart, when really God is trying to show you HIS plan. We as Christians fail on a daily basis to remember that its not OUR plan and GOD'S plan that really matters.
We have been in the process of buying a house since the first of August. I will give a little background of what we have went through. First we found a cute new house that we really loved only to find out that the realtor showed us the house with not only one contract already on the house, but a backup contract also...mad was not the answer to how we felt...we were so upset. This is our first time buying so we didn't know much about the process so we just took that as a learning experience and that it wasn't the house God wanted for us. Fast forward a couple of weeks and we found another house that we really liked, we put a contract on it,got all of our loan stuff done and we were set to close today 9-27-12. Well...that didn't happen, we did a final walk-through on Monday and everything in the main living area checked out fine(keep in mind this is a new house built last year) then we go to the basement and there is mold on the sheet rock and the block looks to be holding moisture..RED FLAG! We got some advice on what to do and long story short it was a BIG problem and we had to back out of our contract. This is where God's plan came into place. We were upset, frustrated and confused. That afternoon I decided to ride through a neighborhood that we had looked in before we found the other house, there were two houses for sale right across from each other, I called the # on the sign of one and the agent told me the house was for sale and was never owned just leased for a while. Fast forward a little...we look at the house and decide we love it more than the one we just cancelled our contract on, it has more of what we want and a homey feel to it. We loved the neighborhood and everything about the house. We now have a contract on it and are waiting on a closing date. I can not tell you how much this has shown me that THIS was God's plan! He knows what is best for us and I praise him for guiding us in this situation.
We are trusting and praying that this is the house for us and hope to move soon. Third times a charm..right? lol
