Christmas Card 2011

Here is our Christmas Card this year, I ordered it from Picaboo.com. I usually use Shutterfly but I got a groupon and paid $25 for $75 worth of cards! I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
(the card folds so this is the front and the inside.)

Christmas Program

On December 9th Hunter's school at their annual Christmas program. They sang songs and some of the kids recited verses,it was very sweet and really focused on the TRUE meaning of Christmas. Hunter is usually very shy so I was surprised when he actually sang all of the songs. We didn't have very good seats so I didn't get that many pictures during the program but I did try to take some afterwards but as you will see my kids were not into pictures. I got the whole thing on video so Mike could watch it,he had to work that night so he wasn't able to come.

aunt meme came too

cant even get them to take one picture

she was busy eating

Peppermint Bark

One of my favorite things to make at Christmastime is peppermint bark. It is super easy and really good! I usually make quite a bit and take it to all of our Christmas parties. Here is the recipe.

- one package of white almond bark (more if you need)
-peppermint candy
-large baking sheet
-wax  paper

melt the almond bark in the microwave, you will want to stir about every 30 seconds to keep it from burning. while your waiting for the AB to melt you will need to crush your peppermint. I use a ziploc bag and some sort of heavy utensil to crush. You are going to need a large baking sheet lined with wax paper, once your AB is melted stir in the peppermint and spread out onto the baking sheet. Refrigerate for about an hour or over night if needed. Once its ready break it up in pieces and serve!

Christmas stuff and pure cuteness

We are still here, just been busy with everyday life! Hunter has his Christmas program at school tonight and then he has plans to spend the night with Nana. Im hoping to get the rest of my Christmas shopping done next week, I only have a little more left! Im trying to teach the kids that Christmas isn't about getting presents, we are going to do the angel tree at Mike's work and I hope that will let them see that we should also think about others. Its kinda hard at this age to get them to understand the whole meaning.
I FINALLY got our cards in the mail yesterday! Well I guess thats about it for this random post. I will leave you with a picture of the cutest little nephew!
